It has been claimed that five minutes of cupping equals thirty minutes of deep tissue massage. Cups may be left on a problem area from 2 to 15 minutes to promote blood flow. Bruises or marks that remain are an indication of healthy blood flow to the problem area which can also last for one to two weeks.
